Emeric Glatsz born in Budapest in 1902, arrived in in France in 1937. He was married and considered as a high qualified workman.
As war burst out in 1939 he volunteered and was incorporated in the 23rd Infantry Regiment of Foreign Volunteers. In April 1942 at age 41 he joined the FTP-MOI where he was known as Robert and with the underground identity of Bognard he became an important leader in the derailers unit.
Arrested on November 17th 1943 judged at the German Martial court where he declared: « I have leaved 7 month underground. That was the price to live free. For life is worth nothing without freedom… »
Sentenced to death he was gunned on February 21st 1944 with his comrades.
